CD Master Cleaning

Various types of equipment are used for CD disc master cleaning. When a complete CD manufacturing unit is used, part of the process includes removing traces of photoresist from the master disc. An oxygen plasma is typically used, since an active gas (see photoresist stripping) will remove organics faster than an inert gas (see descumming).
